{we need to get the word out}

If California Prop 8 Fails, Public Schools Will be Required by Law to Teach Children that Same-Sex Marriage is Honorable

Don’t be fooled by what you’re hearing from the liberal media. California law requires “comprehensive health education” in public schools beginning in kindergarten. That includes teaching the “responsibilities of marriage.” This legal mandate allows advocates of homosexual marriage to mold the minds of young children. Worse still, California law requires that the “community” be permitted to actively participate “in the planning, implementation, and evaluation” of health education. If Prop 8 fails, homosexual activists will insist children be taught that homosexual marriage is honorable and sacred.
Homosexual marriage is no longer an issue for debate. It is a reality - a runaway freight train that must be derailed NOW. Courageous family advocates appalled by the California Supreme Court ruling that legalized homosexual marriage are fighting back, but they need your help! Vote “YES” on California Prop 8 on November 4, 2008, and encourage your family and friends to do the same.

a little Wyoming Wildlife

Here are a few wild animals Chloe and Kaidee got to see on thier trip...
A buncha wild turkeys
Deer and Lots and lots and lots of antelope, and babies ones too
Nan would like to know, if anyone knows, what sound an antelope makes.
!!!!!!!!! and rattlesnakes !!!!!
Don't worry we all made it out alive. But beware Pops brings out the rattle in them! It was like the who can scare you better, Pops or a rattlesnake, showdown.

Martin's Cove

We got to go to Martin's Cove on Sunday. It was really neat. Here are some pics and if you so desire a better explanation is on the rowdy family blog. or even more details about Martin's Cove on the internet. The personal experiences of the pioneers are neat if you can find some.

Wild Bunch

Wyoming just got a whole lot wilder with this bunch that showed up on thursday. We went to the "Radio" to watch the cowboys and girls. It's not a rodeo, just ask Katie.

and who needs Angels Autographs when you have Rodeo clown signatures?

Chloe had fun with her son. She is so good with him.
The best event of the night was the 12 and under calf chase. They invited all the kids to come on down and then let two calves loose with a bandana tied to each tail. Kaidee practically ran down. First off, the clown had the kids stretch out, none of us could figure out what muscle was stretched when he had the kids roll in the dirt. Kaidee said a boy rolled in poop. We took a video which we will post later. This would never fly in California.

The girls were "Horse CRazy!"
They were practically jumping over barbed wire fences to go grab themselves horses to ride their whole time here.
We did a little fishin'
and I took this picture long after breakfast when Kaidee showed me how she had almost gotten "staticated" when she put her finger to close to an electrical outlet
We got to some dinosaur tracks and collect seashell fossils.
Good times

A Graduation Gift...

This gift to Sydney was a long time in the making...
The "t-shirt" blocks were saved from her High School years. They represent a lot of who/what she is. I chose blocks (can you find them?) that show her talent, her athleticism, her service, her leadership, her goodness, her testimony building times, her very fun side, her handiwork (she stitched her b-day scripture), and even her favorite fashions!!!

There are soccer and softball all-star shirts, a powder-puff football shirt, her "favorite number" shirt, a cross-country shirt, a P.E. shirt, an ASB shirt, some YW's camp shirts, some EFY shirts, a (CM)2 shirt (clean mind/clean mouth), a shirt from her friend's Eagle service project, her school's football champions shirt, a Y-note shirt, her favorite jeans (thanks Tiff), a square from the prom dress she designed, and a favorite Hollister shirt (I picked and cut this shirt last because it was one she still loved and wore)!!!

This was so fun to present to her! We gave it to her at the open house after her graduation ceremony. She found other gifts in the pocket of her 'jeans.'

Thanks to all who helped with this labor of love!

Now, don't wait to start saving those special t-shirts of your childrens'.
