Carmack Update

I haven't posted for a while so here's a quick update on the kiddos:
Paige passed her TAKS test and her score was commended (?) I'm not sure if that is the right word but, to get that you have to miss 3 or less questions on the whole test and she only missed 2. She has been having fun with Marquie staying here for the last 5 days. Today our home will be back to the normal 6 of us. :) The skirt Paige is wearing in this picture is something she picked out using her 5 dollar prize money for hatching a snow egg. Thanks Rowdy!
Zoe is modeling her prize money purchase too. She loves her new slippers. Thanks again Rowdy! She passed her TAKS test too, but I haven't gotten her results back yet. I am so happy that she passed, she was sooooo worried about it. She is definitely a worrier! I don't know where she gets that from!

Okay, what do you guys think? Bangs or no bangs? I cut her hair on Saturday night. I was tired of dealing with growing the bangs out, and I think that she looks sweet with them. The little bug in the bottom picture was for a project at school. Tiffany helped her make it. I think they did a great job, it turned out really cute! Livee's birthday is next week. I can't believe she's gonna be six already!!!

Miles is growing up too fast. He walks up the stairs now, no more crawling up. He is learning new words every day. His favorites lately are NOOOooo, Where'd it go?, outside, and of course Daddy. He runs everywhere now, and he still loves nursery. How do my kids keep getting bigger and older and I stay (or at least feel) just the same?!

dogs

Does anyone know why a dogs nose is always cold?

I can't wait for you to come down in November either. I love that you are posting pictures. I love that I am able to see how our family is growing. I am so very excited to see Tiffany, Kodi Lynn, and Degan.

I am not working this week because the college is on spring break. Next week it's back to the old grind. I am thankful that I have a job. It has truly been a blessing for our family. I love all of you and miss you all dearly.

We Miss You!

Okay, I'm thinking of Tiffany getting to see her family, and Amelia gets to go see her family this week.... No Fair! Hurry up November!!! I am missing the CA family, so tonight for dinner I made Nan's famous burritos and now we are going to go watch some random neighborhood little league game and eat our burritos and remember old times. :(
***j/k we will definitely not be going to any games tonight, but we did make burritos and they were oh so good! They did make me feel a little better too.

Tushy!!!

Well what else can I say? The title says it all!

Not all junk mail is junk!

I got my mail today and of course there is the dreaded junk mail. I noticed that one of them was a survey, but I wasn't in the mood to do it, so I was going to throw it all away. At the trash can I changed my mind because I remembered another survey I had received that had a one dollar bill in it. I thought I better at least look at this survey. I opened it, and out fell a crisp five dollar bill. :) It totally made my day! So be sure and check all your mail before you throw it out. You could be missing out on free money!

Wanna have a pool party

Check out our new toy. The kids are having so much fun and it's only got about an inch of water. Cole reminds me of Bobby (the hose hog) if you come near him he will wet you and if you try to grab the hose he screams. You can check out the rest of the pictures at the byrd blog.

Happy Easter Everybody!!!

I can't believe this is already the second Easter that we have been in Texas. Time flies! We had so much fun at the Texas Tad Bowlers. We had a yummy dinner of Honey Baked Ham (thanks Kellie), cheesy potatoes, spinach salad, and Letti's apple turnovers. The kids played and had fun finding Easter eggs in all kind of random places. I'm sure Amelia will post pictures of where Uncle Bobby hid his. :) I love you guys and I miss you tons! I hope you all had a great Easter too!

Warning: May Eat in Large Quantities

I got this recipe from the pioneer woman cooks blog. It was very easy and ohhhh so good. I just wanted to lick the pan when I was finished eating it. Chase loved it and I was unsure about the mountain dew but it was delicious.

Everett is here!!!

He finally made his debut about 10:17. He weighed in at 8lbs 14 oz. All I can say is way to go Beki (and Adam). Adam told me that Everett looks just like his big brother Cael. I can hardly wait for pictures. I love the Turners. Congrats!

mountain dew, crescent rolls, butter.....

...and a few more ingredients. My house smells heavenly. Can you guess the recipe?

Things about the SFMOTW...

Well thanks Tiff for Nominating me to be the SFMOTW.... Some things you might wanna know about me are...
~My Favorite Saturday Activity probably has to be SLEEPING IN... going to seminary is awesome and it gets you ready for your day at school, but by the end of the week your pretty warn out so sleeping in is well deserved..lol
~Well i don't know if I've had any really bad dates, my worst one if i had to choose would probably have to be my first date, i went on a triple date, and the 3 guys didn't bring enough money so all us girls ended up paying, but it wasn't bad we still had a lot of fun...... My best date would probably just be hanging out with JOSH, we could be sitting at home doing nothing and still have a good time together, but it's always nice to go out on a date... our favorite place to go and eat is the Elephant bar..
~My favorite Disney Lella would have to be ether Cinderella, or Bell there both beautiful, smart, and if you know me i love music, they both have awesome voices and songs in there movies
~Enchanted is officially my favorite movie, due to the music and the girlyness, but i also like the movie Juno its a really good movie
~Well if you don't know this I'll be shocked, but I'm going to get married in the SAN DIEGO temple, but just in case my back up plan would have to be the ST. GEORGE temple, there both so beautiful, and they look like castles, and there both WHITE, and not grey..lol
~If i could go anywhere in the world, i would probably have to say Australia, because of my name, or Europe because if the spaghetti..lol

Beki's in Labor

She was admitted at 12:45 this morning. I just talked to her at 6, and she told me that her Doctor would be in at 7 to check her and probably break her water. Yay, Everett is almost here. I'll keep you updated :)

This is what I was thinking ...
Saturday ...play all day - there is this cool indoor go-cart place that is really cool and I think the kids (especially the boys) would really like. Then on Sat night we could go to Basque food (yes Celeste 13 courses!) and die Easter eggs and then Sunday find the eggs - go to church @ 11 and after have a fabulous feast!
What do you think???
I REALLY WANT YOU TO COME!!!!
Bo is coming - I think because I mentioned that I invited you all - and I think you just really need to come too!!!!

Right on Target

CAUTION: This is a messy story. I in no way mean to taint the blog, but also feel like I need a little sisterly support.
I was truly mortified, as a mother, for the first time last Wednesday. Rowdy and I were in Target alone. I had just placed the last item in out cart. Rowdy was sitting calmly in the cart with his legs hanging out the little leg things. I thanked Rowdy for being such a nice shopper that day, when I realized his shorts were a little damp. at that very moment I heard a toot and a splash! YUCK-O!!! I looked down and he had not only had a blow out that had splashed all over the floor, but out cart had been "leaking" for quite a while!!! EEEWwww. I was seriously caught like a deer in headlights. I was thankful Rowdy didn't cry as I draped him over my arm as far away from me as possible and ran. and I am ashamed of it but I ditched my cart. But I did tell one of the Target employees who was nice and said not to worry she had three kids (but that was before she saw the cart and the mess!!) EEEEwwww eww ewww!!!!! has anyone else had a mortifying moment?

Easter Plans?

So what is everyone doing this Sunday?

Congrats Syd!

What is your favorite movie?
What temple are you planning on getting married in?
If you could go anywhere for vacation where would you go?

SFMOTW IS...

Sydney! O.k Syd let get on the blog and dish about you!

  • What is your favorite Sat. activity?

  • Best and worst date you've been on yet? And Why? (Don't worry your dad never looks at the blog)

  • Favorite Disney "Lella"? (Kodi wants to know)

We look forward to learning more about our favorite baby sister.

Bored!

O.k. am I the only one who feels we have let the family blog get a little boring? I think we all need to work a little harder on keeping it interesting. I know it's hard now that we have our own blogs, but we can still keep this one great! I miss my "Big Bunch of Bowlers!"

Mommy's little helper

Sierra wants to do everything I am doing, someday it's nice and other days it drives me crazy. Yesterday she wanted to vacuum, which she has been scared vacuum until now. I don't think her room got a good vacuum but sometimes you just have to say what ever. Then she wanted to help clean her bathroom. She wants to use the spray bottles with cleaner in them, I wouldn't let her use them. She sprays them toward herself not away from her. So she got to clean the mirror. She is growing so fast, she has been pointing out colors and shape everyday. She just need to work on going potty in the toilet.

Look what Livee can do!

I know this is a funny picture, but I like it!

Chloe and Kaidee's Recipes

Celeste asked Chloe and Kaidee what their favorite recipes were and this is what they came up with.

Brownies
There is a thing at the store that says brownies and you put chocolate chips in it.
-Kaidee

Rice Gravy
You put rice in it. Then you put chicken in it. Then you put it in the stove for 2 minutes.
-Chloe

Peaches
There are these peaches and sugar in it. Then you put it in a bowl and then you cut it up really small. And we could have brownies with peaches on top
-Chloe

Sugar Toast
You put sugar in it then you put toast. Then you put some sugar on it. It’s a good good thing.
-Kaidee

Iya’s Soup
You put squirrly noodles in it. Then tomato juice cook 10 minutes.
-Chloe

Hot Hot Soup
First you put Brown potatoes then you put carrots. Then you put red sauce stuff in a can in a big gray pan and cook it for 20 minutes
-Kaidee

Steak
You buy it at Staters, where the steak is. You’ll find it in the back. You buy it then you put the black and white salt thingy on it and put it in the barbecue for like 13 minutes at 15 hot.
-Chloe

Sugar Apples
Put some cereal, sugar 3 eggs and then 2 cups of milk then put some 5 cups of brown sugar 1 cup of water. Then you put some good stuff. 2 apples! Then put it in the oven for 3 minutes
-Kaidee

The Chloe
You put olive oil in the pan. Put bread. Flip it over and there is syrup on the table and butter and peanut butter and that’s all it is!

What kinda winter is this?

"Hey! This isn't white wet stuff!"
I can't help thinking maybe Rowdy is getting a little jipped his first winter here. No snowball fights, No snow eggs, no fishtailing on ice or getting stuck in ditches. Those are going to be some great memories for you texans.
Well here is a Rowdy update. Rowdy does the meanest worm you've ever seen. He is fast. and he pulls himself up on stuff now. Including the dishwasher where he was hanging on and fell a few days ago. He was fine but I almost burst into tears! (that was the first good smack he's ever had) I think I am going to be a wreck when he is learning to walk.
He loves being outside. He is a good beach baby. he only ate sand once and never tried again. but he likes to feel it in his fingers he just keeps picking it up and letting it fall out. Same with grass he just feels it and pulls it but isn't fond of the taste. Speaking of eating. He eats any food he can get his hands on. He still doesn't have any teeth, but that doesn't stop him from ripping of a huge chunk of whatever you are trying to let him suck on. And he has a funny new smile (we haven't caught on camera) but he sucks in his bottom lip then smiles. Its funny. And he has started fake closing his eyes and laughing or coughing. The laugh and cough are fake too. Its pretty funny. Well, have a Rowdy day everyone. Love ya

What Do You Think?

I have been thinking about selling these wickless candles called scentsy. You put them on top of a warmer and the use low heat to melt. When you are done you just let them cool and you can take them out and use a different scent or use the same one. Each small brick last between 60-80 hours and you use them until they are gone. It is a newer company and does not have very mant consultants in Callifornia so I think it would be the perfect time to start selling them for me. I do not even have to have parties unless I want to I can just keep inventory out of my home. You can check out their website here http://www.scentsy.com/4102

Bobby, Tad, and Cody

Who laid the best egg?

Don't you love Zoe's face. Reel constipation, oops I mean concentration ;) J.K. Zoe
Livee's snow egg above. Paigee's snow egg below. More like snow boulder.

Alright the girls worked very hard on their snow egg. Who had the best one? I think they all deserve the extra $3. They froze their little fingers off! Well I guess I should tell you the story behind the eggs... Cody and Celeste offered the girls all a dollar to build a snow egg, and the one who built the biggest and the best would get an extra $3. I don't know how he wanted them to "hatch", so they laid them instead. So what do you think.
