This is a picture of the kids at the little Justin park. It was taken when we first moved out here...wow...Gray sure looks different!

Here is my 4th picture from my 4th file and it was taken last March at Angels Spring Training in Arizona. This is a picture of Torre Hunter after he had just crossed home plate. We sure had a great time and hopefully we can go next year.

This is a really bad picture, I don't know why I haven't deleted it already. Anyways, Miles wanted a treat and we were out of ice cream, but we did have some cones. We had some Cool Whip in the fridge, and I chopped up some apples and bananas and stuffed it all in the cone. You can't tell from the picture, but he did really like it.

Starving to Death

I would probably pass away if there was an earthquake and I had a years worth of food storage wheat in the garage... Until now!
If you are like me wheat and yeast are just a little intimidating. I don't really understand them. I am going to make a better effort to try, but until then my SIL Katie passed along this recipe for "Blender Wheat Pancakes" I have had them and really enjoyed them! She says its the only way they do pancakes at her house now. and you just use a blender! Thats not scary to me at all. Just thought I'd share. Thanks Katie

"Blender Wheat Pancakes"

Blend for 3 minutes:

1 C. Wheat

1 C. milk

add 1/2 C. milk and blend for another 2 minutes

Then you can either mix in or add and blend:

2 eggs

1/2 C. oil or apple sauce

1 t. sugar

1/4 t. salt

3 heaping t. baking powder

This recipe does great in a waffle iron too!

Rest In Peace

Its with a heavy heart I bring you the news that our beaters have passed on. But they have lived a long and sweet life. They let go while helping to mix orange frosting for a church activity. So even if these beaters were not in your home personally, they may have affected you life in one dish or another. Thanks Nan and Amelia for sharing.

Look who I saw today at D.'s Baptism....

All 5 of these young men had a part in D's conversion. I'm in awe of those who leave home, family, school, work, cars, cell phones, and girl friends (everything they love) for two years, to teach their fellowmen about our Savior, Jesus Christ (whom they love even more).
